Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Highways Training Officer to deliver high-quality Street Works and Highways training across Derbyshire sites. You will develop engaging course content, support learners to achieve nationally recognised qualifications, and contribute to improving operational capability.

The role includes planning courses, teaching practical and theory sessions, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience in training and assessment within highways or engineering services.
• Experience of working within a highways or engineering service environment.
• Occupational competence and sector specific expertise.
• Chapter 8 Traffic Management qualifications and related safety training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional, high-quality training in Street Works and Highways.
• Depose for the Lead when required and manage training records.
• Support audits and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
