Job summary

Ringway is seeking an experienced Supervisor (Street Lighting & Electrical) to lead the delivery of street lighting and electrical maintenance across the National Highways East contract, based in Birchanger. You will plan, coordinate and oversee reactive, cyclic and maintenance works, ensuring safe, efficient delivery in line with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising Street Lighting or Highway Electrical operations
• Knowledge of traffic management requirements and planning
• Knowledge of safe systems of work including excavation, work at height, and electrical safety
• Ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise multiple activities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proactive problem solving and team management
• Independent decision making and on-site leadership

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational teams and subcontractors to meet productivity, quality and safety targets
• Planning and coordinating reactive, maintenance and cyclic works
• Arrange roadspace bookings and traffic management requirements
• Manage materials, plant, equipment and stock for delivery
• Produce work packs in line with procedures and contract requirements
• Review RAMS and ensure compliance
• Conduct site inspections, depot audits and safety checks
• Ensure HEA registration scheme requirements are met
• Support development and performance of operatives and subcontractors
• Promote collaboration and effective communication across the contract
• Utilise bespoke software and digital systems for service delivery
• Review subcontractor costs and communicate commercial implications
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards at all times
