Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor for a major highways and roundabout scheme in Wells, Somerset. You will lead day-to-day site coordination, supervise works, and ensure safety, quality and programme milestones are met on a Tier 1 contractor project.

The role requires CSCS Gold, SSSTS, strong RAMS knowledge, and the ability to manage subcontractors and plant. The project runs through February 2027 with days shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within highways/civil engineering.
• Experience on highways, road construction or roundabouts.
• Minimum Gold CSCS card.
• SSSTS qualification - essential.
• Strong health, safety, RAMS knowledge.
• Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with a Tier 1 contractor would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day highways and civil works on site.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and plant.
• Oversee construction of the new roundabout and roadworks.
• Ensure works are safe, to programme and to quality standards.
• Monitor RAMS compliance and health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers and project team.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily site coordination.
• Maintain site records and report progress/delays.
