Job summary

Site Supervisor - Highways & Roundabout Scheme is available for a major highways project in Wells, Somerset. Start ASAP on a contract to February 2027 minimum with a rate of £425-£525 per shift. You will supervise day-to-day highways works and coordinate site teams to meet programme and quality targets.

The role requires RAMS and strong safety focus, plus the ability to liaise with engineers and subcontractors on a dynamic civil engineering site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within highways/civil engineering.
• Gold CSCS card and SSSTS qualification.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS and health & safety requirements.
• Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day highways and civil engineering works on site.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and plant.
• Oversee construction of the new roundabout and roadworks.
• Ensure works are delivered to programme and quality standards.
• Maintain site records and RAMS compliance.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers and project team.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily site coordination.
• Report progress and delays to management.
