Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to join a major highways scheme in Wells, Somerset. You will supervise day-to-day highway and civil works, coordinate site teams, subcontractors and plant, and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.

You will monitor progress, maintain RAMS compliance, lead toolbox talks, and report issues to the management team, with responsibility for health, safety, quality and site records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within highways/civil engineering.
• Experience on highways, road construction, roundabouts or related infrastructure.
• Minimum Gold CSCS card.
• SSSTS qualification - essential.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and RAMS.
• Ability to effectively manage site teams and subcontractors.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day highways and civil engineering works on site.
• Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and plant.
• Overseeing the construction of the new roundabout and associated roadworks.
• Ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
• Monitoring site activities and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with RAMS.
• Liaising with Site Agents, Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Conducting toolbox talks, briefings and daily site coordination.
• Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays to the management team.
• Ensuring all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed.
• Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring works are completed to specification.
