Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Site Supervisor for a long-term contract with Gloucestershire County Council in Gloucester. You will support the client’s objectives under the NEC contract, ensuring construction is delivered to specification.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of highways construction, a strong health and safety awareness, and excellent communication skills. The position offers hybrid working and various benefits including professional development support.

Qualifications

• A good knowledge of highways construction methodology, achieved through site operative experience or a design background.
• A mature, self-aware approach to health and safety, with a sound understanding of the relevant legislation.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and methodically.
• Evidence of confident communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the client’s officers and delivery objectives under the NEC contract.
• Verify that construction work is delivered in accordance with design and specification.
• Work alongside the NEC Project Manager to notify defects and raise warnings.
• Collaborate with team and cross-functional colleagues for high-quality services.
• Contribute to major project programmes like the Gloucestershire Cycle Spine.
