Job summary

Carrington West is currently recruiting for a Highways Site Manager to lead highway maintenance projects in Northamptonshire. This is a full-time, 3-month contract with flexible working arrangements and a daily rate of £400.

You will manage sites to programme and budget, ensure health and safety, and liaise with clients, the public and local authorities. Essential qualifications include an HNC in Civil Engineering and NEC contract experience, SMSTS, NRSWA supervisor, 12D Traffic Management, and

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering is required.
• NEC contract experience is essential.
• SMSTS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of yourself, workforce and the public in line with SHE processes.
• Manage construction sites to programme and budget.
• Site communication with client, public, councillors and parish councils.
• Ensure sites comply with Chapter 8 and CDM regulations.
• Interpret documents, schemes and BOQs per NEC4.
• Inspect quality of work according to ITP and designs.
• Follow NEC4 change control procedures for early warnings and compensation events.
