Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Highways Maintenance Operative (Road Marking) based at our Aston Birmingham depot. The role is hands-on, outdoors, and involves operating specialist lining vehicles to apply road markings safely and to high technical standards.

You'll work as part of the Road Markings team, carry out vehicle checks, site duties, risk assessments, and liaise with clients and the public. A full driving licence and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• A full driving licence is essential.
• Experience in highways maintenance or road marking preferred.
• Enjoy outdoor, hands-on work and working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain road markings to high technical standards and attend project briefings.
• Drive and operate specialist lining vehicles and plant, including vehicle checks and routine maintenance.
• Undertake all aspects of road marking and specialist surface application works.
• Take responsibility for safety compliance and protecting the public.
• Complete risk assessments, keep records, and liaise with clients, emergency services, and the public.
