Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team supporting a long-term highways maintenance contract. You will manage commercial aspects, prepare valuations, monitor costs and support NEC contract administration on a high-volume portfolio of schemes.

The role offers a permanent opportunity within a supportive commercial team and exposure to NEC contract management in the highways Civil Engineering sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying within civil engineering, highways or a related construction environment.
• Understanding of highway maintenance works and commercial processes.
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract and contract administration.
• Experience in valuations, cost control and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of routine highway maintenance works.
• Preparing accurate valuations, applications and cost reports.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Supporting contract administration under NEC forms of contract.
• Managing a high volume of low-value maintenance schemes.
• Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.
• Identifying commercial risks and supporting effective cost control.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the successful delivery of the highways contract.
