Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Temp Highways Quantity Surveyor for a busy Local Authority in the West Midlands. The role is Outside IR35 and onsite 2 days per week, with a start ASAP and a linked project programme ending 31 July 2027.

You will manage financial and contractual aspects of highway projects, prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, assess contractor payments, and oversee procurement to ensure value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as agency Quantity Surveyor on highways projects.
• Must be onsite 2 days per week and available to start ASAP.
• Outside IR35 arrangement for Ltd companies is available.

Temp Highways Quantity Surveyor required for busy Local Authority in the West Midlands please note outside IR35 if you operate a Ltd company.

Hours Per Week : 40.00

Start Date : ASAP End Date : 31/07/2027

Highways Quantity Surveyor - Outside IR35 ( so if you have a Ltd company we can payroll you via this , subject to the correct insurances in place )

The duration is linked to externally funded projects which run until 31 July 2027.

Pay rate: £60 umbrella or Ltd - £43.47 PAYE

Must be onsite in 2 days per week - Various offices are available.

We require an experienced agency Quantity Surveyor to provide immediate specialist capacity, ensure robust commercial management, and maintain delivery of our transport capital programme within budget and timescales during a period of peak demand and no in-house resource

Responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of highway and transportation projects.

Prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, assess contractor payments, manage procurement processes, and ensure value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to control costs, manage risks, and support the successful delivery of highway infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
