Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Network Co-ordinator to join the Network Management Team. The role covers co-ordinating and managing highway permits and traffic management applications under NRSWA, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and the council's permit scheme.

You will also assess licences under the Highways Act, conduct borough-wide site inspections, and work with customers and partners. A full driving licence is required; 37 hours per week and salary £32,578–£35,570.

Qualifications

• Have working knowledge of highway maintenance legislation, techniques and procedures
• Possess or be willing to obtain NRSWA Supervisors Accreditation
• Experience working with customers, clients and partners
• Hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage highway permits and traffic management applications under NRSWA, TMA and the council's permit scheme.
• Assess applications for licences under the Highways Act 1980 (e.g., skips, scaffolds, hoardings) occupying the highway.
• Undertake borough-wide site inspections to monitor occupancy of works on the network.
