Job summary

City of Wolverhampton Council seeks a Permit Coordinator in Network Services and Regulations. You will assess, determine and process permit applications and temporary traffic management requests to support street works coordination and highway safety.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a relevant qualification (Degree/HNC or equivalent) or substantial applicable experience. Salary £36,363–£40,777 (Grade 6) for 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline or significant demonstrable experience in the area.
• Significant experience in a traffic management, highways or street works environment.
• Experience of supervising staff in a highways or street works environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, determine and process permit applications.
• Process temporary traffic management applications.
• Ensure compliance with Highways Act 1980, NRSWA and TMA.
