Job summary

Paramount Personnel in Tavistock seeks a Highways Operative to join a dedicated team. You will perform highway repairs, input safety data on tablets, and operate plant as trained, with responsibilities for vehicles and materials. A clean driving record and CSCS card are preferred, with NRSWA not essential.

This is a full-time, temporary on-site role in Tavistock. Weekly pay with accrued holiday pay from day one and PAYE deductions. Overtime at 150% after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required or desirable.
• HGV licence preferred.
• New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) not essential.
• Lantra 12D accreditation not essential.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Undertake highways repairs including patching, resurfacing, potholes, drainage, footways, and general maintenance.
• Input safety data and maintenance records using tablets/apps.
• Drive/operate plant and equipment when trained and required.
• Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
• Provide direction/supervision to less experienced operatives where appropriate.
