Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council on behalf of SWTRA invites applications for the Highways Network Operations Manager role in South Wales. This position focuses on strategic leadership to ensure safe, reliable journeys across the network and to support the Strategic Manager in delivery objectives.

• To support the Strategic Manager (Network Operations and Resilience) and deputise as necessary, in the overall management of the South Wales Trunk Road Agent, with specific responsibility for Network Management.
• With demonstrable operational management experience at a senior level, you will be an Accountable Manager and member of the SWTRA Senior Management team, providing leadership, direction and operational management to the Network Management team in achieving its delivery objectives.
• To be responsible for the promotion, development and effective performance of the agent in the provision of a broad portfolio high quality network management services to ensure that the Strategic Road Network in South Wales is able to support the travelling public moving safely and to provide reliable journey times.
