Your New Role
We have fantastic opportunities for Permanent Highway Maintenance Operatives to join our NMC North East Account in Dundee. Our NMC NE Account, awarded in 2022, supports Transport Scotland to deliver improved service levels to the trunk road network, ensuring consistent, predictable, and reliable journeys for road users. Works will cover maintenance, road safety, bridges, structures, and discrete improvement schemes while considering the Scottish Government's climate change and sustainability targets. We'll also implement an enhanced winter and incident response service, improved communications, and new technologies for better management of trunk network assets and maintenance activities.
The Highway Maintenance Operative plays an important role in the construction of minor & major civils schemes as well as any routine maintenance activities.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will involve overtime, participation in on-call rotas, and nightshift working when required by the business.

It would be ideal if you have previous winter experience or a valid HGV Class 2 licence. However, HGV training can be provided where suitable for the right candidate.
It would be desirable if you have previous Civils, Trade, or Street works experience to help you hit the ground running.
