Job summary

Colas Ltd in Worcestershire is seeking a Planner to support the eight-year Maintenance & Response contract for National Highways Area 9. Based at Strensham, you will develop and monitor maintenance programmes, coordinating cyclical and reactive works to meet client requirements and commercial objectives.

You will collaborate with operational teams, clients, and authorities to maximise productivity, manage resources, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within forecast expenditure.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways maintenance or network operations is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• CSCS accreditation and SMSTS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and report multi-disciplinary maintenance programmes.
• Plan and coordinate cyclical and reactive works to meet contract requirements.
• Prepare and manage job packs, risks and expenditure forecasts.
• Attend planning meetings and produce programme reports.
• Support emergency response activities and incident recovery.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and authorities to minimise disruption.
