Kier Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Kier Transportation team across Area 4 depots. The role offers 40 hours per week, a day or night shift, with a rotating night requirement and hourly pay of £13.45–£15.83 plus overtime.

Based at Weatherhill Depot, Ford Depot or Marley Lane, you'll support essential maintenance of the local road network, operate light plant, assist with drainage, kerbing and surfacing, and help with safety and site duties.

Competenze

• Experience in highway maintenance or similar field.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Manual driving licence is essential to drive to site.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

Mansioni

• Operate light plant machinery and perform daily maintenance checks.
• Assist skilled operatives with kerbing, drainage, paving, surfacing and repair works.
• Excavate soil, rock, asphalt and concrete using hand and powered tools.
• Carry out general site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking and material handling.
• Support traffic management and ensure site safety.
