Job summary

VolkerHighways in Luton is offering a full-time Apprenticeship at Level 2 in Highways Maintenance. You will learn on the job while attending college blocks, with overnight accommodation provided.

No previous construction experience is required, and you'll join a project team across the south of the UK, working toward a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification. This is a hands-on apprenticeship with structured training, health and safety focus, and a clear path to a permanent role within

Qualifications

• Interest in construction and outdoor work.
• Positive attitude with a focus on safety.
• Willingness to attend training blocks and college.
• CSCS card encouraged; willingness to obtain.
• Flexible approach to shifts, early starts, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site with kerb laying, footway works, drainage, asphalt and groundworks.
• Learn to carry out tasks safely and to required standards.
• Use tools, plant and equipment safely with training.
• Attend training blocks and apply learning on site.
• Follow health, safety, wellbeing and environmental procedures.
• Keep work areas tidy and safe.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Represent VolkerHighways professionally on site.
