Job summary

Waterman Infrastructure & Environment Ltd in Greater London is seeking a motivated Highways & Infrastructure Engineer to deliver highways, drainage and development projects across residential, commercial, industrial, logistics and major schemes.

You will work with transport planners, environmental specialists and project managers to develop innovative, buildable solutions and advance toward Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a UK engineering consultancy or contractor environment.
• Understanding of highway and infrastructure design principles.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and guidance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed highway designs for developments.
• Design highway alignments, junctions, access roads and roundabouts.
• Undertake pavement design and coordinate highway construction specs.
• Develop Section 38, Section 278 and private road designs.
• Prepare design drawings, reports and technical documentation.
• Assist in technical approvals submissions and responses to authority comments.
