Job summary

Waterman Infrastructure & Environment Ltd is seeking a Senior Highways & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and delivery of highways, drainage and infrastructure across multiple sectors. You will manage projects from concept to construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff to deliver sustainable, buildable solutions that support client development ambitions.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10 years' experience in highways and infrastructure engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use development infrastructure.
• Experience of highway, drainage and levels design.
• Working knowledge of planning and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of highways and access strategies, S278/S38 schemes, and development infrastructure.
• Manage multiple projects from feasibility through construction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Attend and lead design team meetings, client meetings and stakeholder workshops.
• Develop fee proposals, programmes and resource plans, and monitor budgets and profitability.
• Mentor graduate engineers and technicians and support staff development.
