Highways Magazine is seeking a motivated Highways Improvement Engineer to join our Highways and Traffic team. You will contribute to highway improvement schemes that enhance network condition, safety and efficiency across the borough's road network, with exposure to the full project lifecycle from data collection to construction supervision.

We value engineers who can interpret technical information, prepare drawings, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of highway engineering, construction or transportation projects.
• Understanding of highway design principles and engineering standards.
• Ability to interpret technical information and produce engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and delivery of highway improvement schemes to improve network condition, safety and traffic movement.
• Undertake site surveys, collect and analyse data, support engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications and cost estimates for highway projects.
