Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Manager to lead safety strategy across our manufacturing operations. You will build a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and partner with managers, employees and contractors to protect people and the environment.

With NEBOSH Diploma and 3+ years in manufacturing (ideally chemical), you will run audits, investigations, incident reporting (RIDDOR), and drive continuous improvement while aligning safety

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ manufacturing experience, ideally chemical.
• Strong experience in behavioural safety, investigations, root-cause analysis and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with quality/document management systems.
• Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
• Process Safety Management and change-management experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the company's HSE strategy, policies and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead audits, inspections, incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Drive corrective actions, continuous improvement and behavioural safety.
• Provide practical HSE advice, coaching and training across the business.
• Manage accident, incident and near-miss reporting, including RIDDOR requirements.
• Oversee hazardous substances, CoSHH, contractor controls and regulatory records.
• Develop KPIs, manage the HSE budget and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure safety, quality and operational excellence go hand in hand.
