Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Highways & Drainage Design Engineer to join our design team.

You’ll support delivery of complex construction projects, delivering safe, buildable and innovative solutions across highways and drainage, from concept through to delivery. You’ll lead temporary works design, oversee design deliverables and client relationships, conduct site visits and technical reviews, and work with multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment to maintain engineering

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking, with a focus on highways and drainage solutions integrated with permanent works design
• Providing tender and bid winning support including outline design schemes, feasibility studies, and innovative solutions
• Conducting technical assessments and reviews of third party designs to ensure compliance with client and Kier requirements
• Managing project delivery including design deliverables, financial aspects, and client relationships under appropriate supervision
• Undertaking site visits, surveys and inspections, attending meetings, and providing technical expertise to support project teams
