Wilde Consulting Engineers, based in Stockport, is seeking an experienced Highway Engineer for contract (Outside IR35) or permanent roles. The candidate will lead detailed highway design, contribute to active travel schemes, and liaise with clients and contractors on multiple North West projects.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years' highways design experience, progression toward incorporated or chartered status, and a solid background in DMRB and related design standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ highways design experience.
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status.
• Strong experience delivering detailed highway design for local authority and active travel schemes.
• Knowledge of DMRB, LTn 1/20 and other design standards.

Responsabilités

• Delivery of high-quality highway design work with a strong focus on detailed design.
• Support on active travel and local authority schemes.
• Preparation of designs, drawings and calculations.
• Production of contract documents and specifications.
• Client and contractor liaison.
• Collaboration with other discipline leads to ensure technical integration.
