Dorset Council is offering an assistant technician apprentice within the Highways team. You will support the Construction Delivery team, working with Construction Managers and estimators on highway construction projects, site visits and office tasks.

This 27-month level 3 apprenticeship involves day release to a local training provider and could lead to a full-time role. A driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 2 English and Maths grade 9-4 (A*-C) and prepared to undertake the study requirements dictated by the college or university.
• Willing to travel as part of the role and to undertake site visits.
• Must be prepared to obtain a driving licence within a reasonable period after appointment.
• Construction Delivery apprenticeship level 3 through a local training provider will be completed during the role.

Responsabilités

• Support the Construction Delivery team and work alongside Construction Managers and estimators on highway construction projects.
• Carry out site visits and office-based tasks, preparing accurate and timely estimates and aiding in construction phase plans.
• Assist with management of highway construction projects across Dorset and contribute to meeting potential clients.
