Job summary

Red Rock Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Traffic Management CAD Technician in the West Midlands to produce accurate CAD drawings for highways and infrastructure projects. You will support tender submissions and project delivery while adhering to client SLAs and current legislation.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a proactive, collaborative approach within a busy team environment. DOE in compensation reflects experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar CAD Technician role in traffic management or highways.
• Experience with Cone 11 software.
• UK driving licence and Sector Scheme 12D up to M7 (M1/M2).

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, risk-assessed CAD drawings in line with current legislation, industry standards and client-specific requirements.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear and produced within agreed timescales and client SLAs.
• Maintain and manage the CAD register, ensuring all activities and outputs are accurately recorded to support invoicing and audit requirements.
• Attend tender and project meetings to gain a clear understanding of project scope, requirements and constraints.
• Produce clear and accurate sketches to support tender submissions, project planning and operational requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team, responding to client queries where required.
• Work collaboratively with administration, operations and other internal teams to ensure smooth and effective project delivery.
• Interpret technical information, drawings and project specifications to produce accurate traffic management solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed with a high level of attention to detail, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all drawings.
• Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and changing project requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Traffic Management legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of CAD processes, standards and working practices.
