Job summary

FM Conway Ltd is seeking a skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our Consultancy team in Sevenoaks. You will contribute across all highway schemes, from feasibility studies through to detailed design and implementation, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and experience in highway and public realm design, including S38/S278 processes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in civil engineering (BEng/BSc) or equivalent.
• Experience designing highways and public realm projects, with S38/S278 experience.
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness; ability to work in a design team.

Responsibilities

• Design highway and public realm solutions from feasibility to detailed design and implementation.
• Prepare feasibility/option reports, drawings, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Conduct design checking and QA to maintain high technical standards.
• Identify risks and assist in reporting, mitigation and project changes.
• Manage programmes, budgets and milestones; support client briefs and changes.
• Perform CDM designer duties and ensure compliance with standards (DMRB/TSRGD).
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver projects on time.
