Job summary

Matchtech seeks two Highway Design Engineers to join its Highways Engineering Services team in Winchester on a contract basis. The role focuses on designing and delivering small to medium highway improvement and active travel schemes, with potential involvement in major schemes when needed.

Responsibilities include using AutoCAD and Civils 3D, preparing drawings and technical docs, and collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway design or highways and civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 365.
• Understanding of active travel schemes and highway improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Design highway improvement and active travel schemes.
• Support project management, procurement and implementation of capital schemes.
• Prepare drawings and design documentation for highways projects.
• Contribute to delivery of small to medium highway schemes from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support to major highway schemes when required.
• Ensure designs comply with highway standards and regulations.
• Maintain project records and contribute to reports.
