To perform clinical physiology duties within the sphere of ‘Cardiac Rhythm Management’, acting as a physiologist / clinical scientist in this area. The post holder will provide specialist professional direction and expertise in device implantation and follow-up, as well as other aspects of CRM. They will act as a resource within the department to provide expert and specialist advice.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and developing standards of performance and competency within cardiac rhythm management.
The post-holder will continuously monitor service delivery and suggest/recommend actions for improvement to the Head of Invasive Cardiac Physiology.
They will perform duties as a highly specialist independent practitioner, conducting complex and highly complex cardiac investigations, including electrophysiology studies, device implants, follow-up, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results.
Specific Areas Include, But Not Restricted To:
Ensure thorough documentation of all procedures on departmental IT systems (PaceNet and EPIC).
Act as an clinical role model and resource to staff to optimize quality of care through evidence-based practices.
Work clinically up to 90% of total hours, including on-site and home working, with a commitment to non-residential on-call.
