NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 8 – 4, Mon – Wed.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This post is part time at 22.5 hrs per week. The base will be Inverclyde Royal Hospital with an expectation that cover may need to be provided at other Clyde sites. The role primarily involves helping lead the implantable device service from the Inverclyde catchment area and ensuring these patients are seen when necessary out-with clinics. There will be overseeing of the implant service. There is the expectation to work on service development of the device service. There will also be a requirement to provide leadership for the cardiac physiology team at times.

BHRS / IBHRE accreditation or equivalent

Desirable

Management / leadership experience

It is expected that applicants will be friendly, empathetic and enthusiastic and have relevant experience in a patient-facing environment.
