Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join the echo service at North Middlesex University Hospital. You will perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms, assist with stress TOE and other advanced echo procedures, and support trainee echocardiographers to achieve BSE accreditation.
The role involves maintaining equipment, overseeing day-to-day operations, and providing high-quality patient care within an expanding service.
The successful candidate will participate in delivering the echo service with the North Middlesex cardiology department. The candidate must hold a BSE TTE level 2 accreditation and has relevant NHS experience in the field of cardiac physiology. The successful individual will work alongside the team of 6 other BSE echocardiographers, ETP/registrar trainees , 4 imaging consultants and with the wider cardiac physiology team to perform transthoracic echocardiograms as well as assist with stress and transoesophageal echocardiograms. The department is BSE accredited and as a teaching hospital the successful candidate will be expected to support our trainee echocardiographers to achieve their BSE accreditation. The echo service is open 8am to 6pm on weekdays and also provide inpatient/outpatient weekend service. The individual will be expected to participate in this comprehensive service and flexible working pattern will be considered.
