St Mary’s RC Primary School in Greater Manchester is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (HLTA) to join our Catholic school. The successful candidate will supervise classes for absent teachers, support teachers in the classroom and help lead our large team of teaching assistants.
You should hold an HLTA qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths. A good knowledge of the National Curriculum, reading, phonics and group interventions, plus safeguarding awareness, is essential.

Salary: from £28,359 to £31,324

The Headteacher and Governors of St Mary’s RC Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and conscientious Teaching Assistant Level 4 (HLTA), to join our successful and happy Catholic school.
The successful candidate will work across the school in all phases, supervising classes for absent teachers, working in support of teachers in the classroom and leading our large team of teaching assistants.
The ideal person will have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum, reading, phonics and group interventions. They should have knowledge of assessment in primary education. They may have an area of expertise that would enhance the children’s education in our school.
We require someone who is highly motivated, flexible, organised and reliable. You will love working with children and as part of a team. You will have a positive attitude, sense of humour and excellent communication skills.
