Job summary

Long-term Teachers Ltd are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a North Somerset school from September on a full-time basis. You will work as a PPA cover teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons across all year groups and providing 1:1 support to pupils needing extra help.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in primary teaching, solid knowledge of the Primary Curriculum, and prior SEND experience.

Qualifications

• Have previous teaching experience and a great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.
• Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
• Be able to engage children in their learning.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Thrive on challenging children’s abilities.
• Work as PPA cover teacher to support Teachers.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HLTA who can work on a Full–Time basis from September. The Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who can contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, supporting the work of Teachers as a PPA cover teacher. You will be working closely with the Teachers to deliver pre-planned lessons, across all year groups. This role also includes supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis who need additional support with their learning.

You will be expected to:

• Have a real passion for working with all Primary Aged children.
• Be able to engage children in their learning.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Thrive on challenging children’s abilities.
• Have previous teaching experience and a great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.
• Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
