Job summary

Woodlands School, part of Bourne Education Trust, seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the satellite provision at Cranmere Primary, Esher. You will support pupils who are autistic and have learning difficulties in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

The role is part-time (33.5 hours/week, 39 weeks/year, term-time). A supportive team offers ongoing training, wellbeing resources and a generous LGPS pension. Some travel to East Surrey and Leatherhead may be required.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding of children
• Minimum Level 2/3 qualification in teaching and learning
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Experience with pupils with special needs preferred

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team under the supervising Teacher to support learning
• Facilitate learning for individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations
• Prepare and deliver intervention programmes and adjust activities by pupil need
• Support development of pupils’ social and emotional needs
