Riverwalk School in Bury St Edmunds is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support SEND pupils across the school. You will work with groups and individuals to facilitate access to learning, using a range of strategies to meet diverse needs.

The role is permanent and offers a structured induction and CPD opportunities. The post requires enthusiasm, resilience, and a passion for improving outcomes, with safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEND and complex needs
• Ability to support diverse needs with differentiated strategies
• Strong role modeling for students and colleagues
• Use of varied strategies to access learning for SEND pupils

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in small groups or 1:1
• Facilitate access to learning for SEND pupils across the school
• Contribute to safeguarding and GDPR compliance
• Participate in school CPD and wider curriculum enrichment
