Priory School Lewes is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and deliver instruction to individuals and groups. The role involves covering whole classes in the main school and providing targeted behavioural support within the Behavioural Alternative Provision.
This is a part-time, term-time position with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:15 pm, during 39 weeks plus 6.05 weeks annual leave.
Hours of work: 30 per week.
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service).
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

The Governors wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves covering whole classes in the main school as well as providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students in Behavioural Alternative Provision (Internal Exclusion). The balance between these duties will be judged based on the candidates’ qualities, skills and ambitions.
An interest in education and the ability to deliver ideas and concepts to an audience of young people would be desirable.
