Job summary

Stockton Academy seeks a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant for maternity cover to support teaching across classes during PPA time. The role is fixed term to start 4 January 2027 and finish 31 August 2027, with a 15-hour per week contract.

The successful candidate will hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent, demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and work flexibly with staff to deliver an engaging, enquiry-based curriculum and high-quality support for pupils.

Salary I Spinal points 19 -22 £33,119.00 - £34,811.00 FTE

Our Academy Council is seeking to appoint a highly effective, caring, enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to undertake whole class cover (PPA time) across school.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a relevant teaching qualification, meet the National Higher Level Teaching Assistant Standards or have an equivalent HLTA qualification.
