Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a friendly primary school in Blackpool. The role focuses on PPA coverage across year groups, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment while teachers plan and assess.

The successful candidate will have HLTA status or substantial HLTA experience, strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, and excellent classroom management.

  • Experience delivering lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 during PPA time.
  • Manage whole-class learning independently and confidently.
  • Support pupils of all abilities to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs, including those with SEND.
  • Work closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations.
  • Support intervention groups where required.

A warm, welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackpool is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team after the October half term.


This rewarding role will focus primarily on PPA cover, providing high-quality teaching and learning across a range of year groups. The school is looking for a confident HLTA with strong curriculum knowledge who can step into the classroom, deliver engaging lessons, and maintain a positive learning environment while teachers undertake their planning, preparation and assessment time.

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 during PPA time.
  • Managing whole-class learning independently and confidently.
  • Supporting pupils of all abilities to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners, including those with SEND.
  • Working closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout the school.
