Job summary

Athersley North Primary School is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupil learning across Nursery to Year 6. The role involves delivering learning activities, providing PPA cover, and stepping in when teachers are absent, to ensure continuity of schooling.

The successful candidate will hold a HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent), have English and mathematics GCSEs, and be a positive, resilient team player committed to high standards, inclusion, and delivering

32.5 Hours, Term Time Only plus 2 INSET days

We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who can deliver lessons across the primary range (Nursery to Year 6) to support PPA cover, cover when teachers are absent from school and provide release time for teachers and leaders.

The role may also include working with groups of children within the class and interventions outside the classroom. The right person will have the drive and ambition to support our children across the school to ensure they get the very best opportunities and provision whilst inspiring a love for learning.

We are looking for a candidate who:
