Job summary

Athersley North Primary School is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupil learning across Nursery to Year 6. The role involves delivering learning activities, providing PPA cover, and stepping in when teachers are absent, to ensure continuity of schooling.

The successful candidate will hold a HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent), have English and mathematics GCSEs, and be a positive, resilient team player committed to high standards, inclusion, and delivering

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent).
• Deliver learning activities to whole classes in Early Years to Key Stage 2.
• Proven track record of delivering high quality interventions.

• English and mathematics qualifications at GCSE Grade C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across the primary range (Nursery to Year 6) to support PPA cover and when teachers are absent.
• Provide release time for teachers and leaders.
• Work with groups and interventions outside the classroom to support learning.
