Job summary

Trinity School, part of the Newbury Academy Trust, is looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for EAL and MFL to join our Languages team. You will support students with English as an Additional Language to access learning across the curriculum, and assist GCSE MFL learners in speaking, listening and fluency in French, German and/or Spanish.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting English as an Additional Language or literacy.
• Ability to plan and deliver small-group sessions to improve language acquisition.

Job description

Trinity School, part of the Newbury Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for EAL and MFL to join our Languages team. This is a rewarding role supporting students with English as an Additional Language to access learning across the curriculum, as well as supporting Modern Foreign Languages provision in French, German and/or Spanish. Working under the direction of the Head of Languages and class teachers, the successful candidate will support individual students and small groups both in and out of the classroom, helping EAL students build confidence, language and cultural understanding, and helping GCSE MFL students develop their speaking, listening and fluency.
