Job summary

Trinity School seeks to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for EAL and MFL to join the Languages team. The successful candidate will support individual students and small groups both in and out of the classroom under the direction of the Head of Languages and class teachers.

The role focuses on helping students with English as an Additional Language build confidence, language skills and cultural understanding, while supporting GCSE students in French, German and/or Spanish to develop

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching or supporting English as an additional language or literacy.
• Confidence in planning and delivering small-group sessions to improve language acquisition and fluency.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.
• Experience of supporting children's learning in a school setting.

The role

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents and colleagues
• Organised, adaptable and creative approach to supporting learning
• Fluency in, and a qualification in, a second language, preferably French, German or Spanish

• Experience of supporting children's learning in a school setting
