Job summary

Monarch Education in Bristol is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a long-term placement starting ASAP. You will support learning across the school, deliver planned lessons, and assist with classroom management.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons, small group work or interventions where required.

Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity in Bristol starting ASAP?

Monarch Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a school in Bristol on a long-term basis. We are looking for an adaptable HLTA who can support teaching and learning, deliver planned activities, assist with classroom management and help pupils make strong progress throughout the placement.

The role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality classroom support. You may be required to deliver pre-planned lessons or interventions, support small groups and individual pupils, assist with behaviour management and contribute positively to the wider school team.

You will be:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the school
• Delivering pre-planned lessons, small group work or intervention sessions where required
• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils
• Helping to maintain a calm, purposeful and well-managed classroom environment
• Following school policies, curriculum guidance and safeguarding procedures
• Building positive working relationships with pupils and staff
• Supporting pupil progress, confidence and continuity of learning from the start of the placement

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Experienced working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar school support role
• Confident supporting pupils across the classroom
• Able to deliver pre-planned learning activities when required
• Flexible, organised and dependable
• Able to commit to a long-term role in Bristol
• Available to start ASAPStrong communicators who can quickly become part of a school team
