Job summary

Swaffham Meadow Primary School, part of Sapientia Education Trust, invites applications for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The HLTA will work alongside teachers, plan, prepare and deliver learning activities, and monitor progress for individuals, groups and classes.

This permanent, part-time post is 32.5 hours per week, term time plus one week. Salary is SCP12-17 (£22,319-£24,643 actual pa) with FTE indicative values (£29,542-£32,046).

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of our school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

The HLTA will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities and monitoring / assessing individuals / groups / whole classes.
