Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the local area in the UK. If you are an experienced HLTA or Level 3 TA ready to progress, this role offers responsibility, classroom support, and enriching learning experiences for pupils.

You will cover whole-class sessions, run 1:1 and group interventions, and assist with planning and behaviour management, with opportunities to develop across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and a pathway to longer-term roles.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Solid understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide whole-class cover when required.
• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities.

We're looking for confident practitioners who can take on additional responsibility, support classroom teaching, and provide high-quality learning experiences for pupils. This could suit an experienced HLTA or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is ready to progress into a higher-level role.

The Role

• Providing whole-class cover when required
• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities
• Leading 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Supporting teachers with planning and classroom organisation
• Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on experience
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers and school leadership

We're Looking For

• HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
• Recent experience within a UK primary school
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Confident classroom management
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
