Job summary

Harris Primary Academy Benson is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support local children and contribute to inclusive learning. The role requires two years of school-based TA experience, a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and knowledge of learning barriers including SEND.

Applicants should be able to participate in assessing provision for students with diverse needs and understand social issues affecting disadvantaged learners.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Two years' school-based TA experience or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of a range of learning barriers, including special needs.
• Experience contributing to and assessing provision for children with a range of needs.
• Some knowledge of social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and contribute to provision for children with a range of needs.
• Assist with assessment and monitoring of student progress and outcomes.
• Support pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to access learning.
