Higher level Teaching Assistant – Support a Secondary Additional Provision Unit
Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent
Salary: £13.90 – £15 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Full time – 32 hours a week
Location: Eastleigh

We are looking for an experienced HLTA to work in an additional provision for Secondary Students that may have had trauma in the past and currently have Social, Emotional and Mental Heathy Barriers.

You must have an HLTA or CACHE level 3 qualification to apply for this role.

  • Covering small classes with groups of 6 children
  • Providing EHCP support for those pupils with additional needs
  • Be able to de-escalate and provide support for those who struggle with their emotional regulation
  • Assisting teaching staff with adapting learning resources to suit individual needs.
  • Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the classroom and fostering a positive learning experiences
  • A supportive and creative team who work hard to ensure all children make progress and feel cared for
  • A commitment to valuing every student and ensuring they are supported to achieve their goals.
  • Staff support one another and create tight knit teams
  • Located in Easteligh
