TeacherActive is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Caerphilly, Wales, starting in September on a part-time long-term basis with potential for permanency for the right candidate. The successful HLTA will plan, prepare and deliver learning activities, assess pupil progress, and support the Welsh curriculum while maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour.

Qualifications

The Primary School have a highly ambitious vision for the support and development of their pupil s wellbeing and academic growth and ensure that they are attentive to every child s needs by creating trusted relationships between staff and pupils.

The Primary School is looking to take on a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA on a part time long term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering learning activities whilst assessing each pupil and tracking their progress throughout the year. You will need to hold a strong knowledge of specific aspects of the Welsh curriculum and be able to confidently support pupils when required.

The Successful candidate will have:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA qualification
• PGCE or PCET qualifications are also acceptable
• At least 6 months experience within a classroom environment
• Strong classroom management skills
• A reflective and creative personality
