Job Description:

Higher Executive Officer

Temporary assignment for 12 months with a possible extension

£18.20 per hour

The role involves supporting the Litigation and Employment Groups' senior management team in achieving core business objectives. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring the group's annual budget, performance reporting, data and performance analysis, developing performance indicators, managing reporting cycles, and recruiting temporary staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Line managing a team of Executive Officers, monitoring performance and capability. Leadership and line management experience are essential.
  • Managing projects and work streams within the team.
  • Overseeing recruitment and onboarding of temporary staff, including attending weekly meetings with suppliers and escalating issues.
  • Reviewing reports on committed spend, increasing temporary workers' spend as needed, and managing timesheet reports and approvals.
  • Maintaining and reviewing PMU spreadsheets for data accuracy, highlighting discrepancies.
  • Monitoring staff costs monthly and reporting to the Team Lead.
  • Managing external training courses and invoices within budget, monitoring spend, and reporting.
  • Identifying and managing risks to team objectives, clarifying roles and expectations.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, setting deadlines, and prioritizing workloads.
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with teams and individuals, with good written skills.

Must have team leader/management skills to be successful
