Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our team in the UK, supporting Higher Education clients across the region. The role focuses on delivering construction, capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, and estate development programmes.

You will manage multiple priorities, foster strong client relationships, contribute to bids, and ensure safe, efficient, and commercially successful project outcomes. Higher Education experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or built environment sector.
• Experience delivering capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, or estate development schemes.
• Strong client management, commercial awareness, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing complex projects within live operational environments.
• Experience working with Higher Education clients is preferred.
• Bid writing, tender management, or account management experience is desirable.
• Experience delivering laboratory, research, or other specialist technical building projects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction and capital projects for Higher Education clients from inception through to handover and close out.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, risks, governance processes, and contract compliance requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting account development and long-term partnerships.
• Contribute to bid submissions, tender responses, and proposal development activities.
• Drive high-quality project delivery, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and risk objectives are achieved.
